More sketches because I’m taking an impossible amount of time to do any finished work. I’d show some works in progress but I’m afraid I’d never complete them if I do :/
Turtles are extraordinary creatures.
Old school Donatello with nickelodeon™ tooth gap!
I saw the designs for the new turtles movie coming out this year and I have to say, they’re the most brutal looking incarnations I’ve seen. Meep 🙁
Lifedrawing is back on for the new year, here are some of the quicker poses from the night.
A rough model from last night. No plan with this one, just playing.
Earlier in the week my little boy had his 2nd Birthday. His favourite book is the Gruffalo, so his party was done in the theme. Mum did lots of Gruffalo goodies including Gruffalo Crumble, Lolly bags and decorations and I made this model to sit atop his cake.
He was a bit of a rush job (especially the paint), with less than a week of nights to complete it. It was a lot of fun though 🙂
He’s since retired and moved to the penthouse suite in Jude’s IKEA bookshelf.
I was Principal Artist on BandStars, which launched earlier this month for iOS. The game was made by our team at The People’s Republic of Animation/Six Foot Kid and is published by Halfbrick, makers of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride.
It’s currently #1 music app in a bunch of countries and is free to download and play, with optional in app purchases for upgrades to studio items, instruments and certain characters. So what are you waiting for? Get it here!
Another of my favourite things to do…sketching while watching telly. Game of Thrones mostly… 🙂
I caught the train into the city yesterday (the first time in months) so I drew a little.
One of my favourite things to do is just zone out and draw faces. I set the clock to five minutes and did this (video’s at double speed).
“Is that Perfect Strangers?!…Well, I guess this can wait”
Mike listening to some Partners in Kryme.
The best show ever made has its swan song this week. Here’s to you, Walt.
Continuing on my Game of Thrones theme. First time I’ve done some art for myself in weeks. Feels good. I know there’s plenty to fix here, but I don’t like to ruin a sketch by getting bogged down with silly things like anatomy and reference.
